Biography:

Henry Richard Daigneault Sr. of Lewiston passed away peacefully on June 3, with his family by his side. He was born on July 1, 1933, to Joseph L Daigneault and Edith E Beauchesne Daigneault of Lewiston.

 

Henry proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1959. His passion was boxing, and he held the Golden Gloves Featherweight title in 1949. Henry loved spending time with his family and friends by the pool, sharing stories of his boxing and Navy years.

 

Henry cherished his role as both a father and grandfather, delighting in the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His warmth, wisdom, and playful spirit created lasting memories and a legacy of love for each of them.

 

He is survived by his son, Henry R. Daigneault Jr ; daughters, Tina Daigneault Richard and her husband Scott, and Tami Daigneault Gosselin and her husband Peter. Henry was Pepere to many. He has seven grandchildren: Katrina Chiasson and her husband Alan, Jason Hesketh, Brandin Daigneault, Evan Gosselin, Cody Daigneault, Emily Gosselin, and Logan Daigneault. He also has nine great-grandchildren: Kaylyn Ritchie, Trevin Ritchie, Gage Daigneault, Bryce Gallo, Isabella Weston, Rylan Chiasson, Brodie Hesketh, Ariella Hesketh, and Jaxx Daigneault.

 

Henry was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Roland Daigneault, Norman Daigneault, and Robert (Bob) Daigneault, as well as a grandson, Nathan Daigneault.

 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Andwell Home Healthcare for their exceptional care and compassion.

 

In accordance with Henry's wishes, there will be no public services.
