Biography:
Albert A. Clifford, 92, of Auburn died on, May 17, 2014 at D’Youville Pavilion, in Lewiston.
Albert was born on May 16, 1922, in Webster, Maine, the son of William G. and Gertrude (Dow) Clifford. He attended schools in Sabattus and enlisted in the U.S. Army in October, 1940. He was in Europe during WWII until August of 1945. In 1947, he married Margarita Allen of Auburn and they resided in Auburn most of their married life.
He was a finish carpenter and retired in 1986. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, the Red Sox, the Patriots, and doing projects around his home.
Albert was predeceased by his infant daughter Susan Margaret, his sisters Florence Ramsay and Mildred Genthner, and his brothers Howard, Robert, Harold, and his twin Alfred.
He is survived by his wife, his daughter Paula Bolduc (Stephen) of Mechanic Falls, his son Alan Clifford (Kathy) of Marion, Ohio, seven grandchildren; Matthew (Rosalba) of Auburn, Michael (Elisha) of Lewiston, Jeremy of Lewiston, Benjamin of New York City, Simon (Crystal) of Pompano Beach, FL, Bethany Veladanda (Vinod) of Marion, Ohio, Jamie Hawkins (Paul) of Marion, Ohio , eight great-grandchildren; Moses, Annabella, Maxwell, Isaac, Ezekiel and Ocean Graham, and Siri, and Kamran Veledanda, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 7th at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa St. Lewiston Maine from 1pm to 2pm. A memorial service will follow immediately.
