Biography:

AUGUSTA -- Glen J. Clark, 53, of Augusta died peacefully at his home on July 9, 2011, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born on Feb. 21, 1958, in Augusta the son of Blaine and Carolyn Clark.

After high school he proudly served his country in the Army. He then attended Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute. His previous employers include D and G Machine Shop, Maine Army National Guard in Auburn, O'Connor Motors and U.S. Postal Service.

Glen enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox.

He is survived by sons Jason, Nicholas, Thaddeus and Michael; his father, Blaine, and his wife, Caroline; brothers Steve and wife Jean, Gary and wife Cindy, and Peter and wife Cyndy Clark; sisters Sandi Newton and husband Roland, and Patti Ochmanski; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Carolyn.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Glen's nephew and best friend, Dale Newton, for the love and care that he gave him.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside committal service at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 14, in the new Maine Veterans' Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Plot B.
