Biography:

Yarmouth - Wayne Joseph Chaisson, 71, recently of Bowdoinham, died in hospice care in Bath on Tuesday, December 30. He fought a courageous battle with cancer for several years. Wayne was born on February 20, 1943 the son of Joseph D. and Ruth L Chaisson.

Wayne grew up in Yarmouth and attended Yarmouth schools, graduated from North Yarmouth Academy in the class of 1961, and also attended Michigan State. Wayne was an animal lover from his pet raccoon he had in high school to his most recent dog Skipper, who was always at his side or in his lap. He was an avid reader and a self-taught photographer of nature.

Wayne was predeceased by his father in 1989, and is survived by his mother Ruth of Yarmouth, sister Janice Seabury and her husband David of Yarmouth, brother Donald Chaisson and his wife Mona of New Gloucester, his son Paul Chaisson of Arizona, his daughter Monique Chaisson Williams and her husband Robert of Arizona, three grandsons, Quinn Chaisson, Blaise Williams, and Aiden Williams of Arizona, a niece Elizabeth Seabury, a nephew Michael Seabury, several aunts and uncles, many cousins, and his loving partner Loraine Bernstein of Bowdoinham.

Interment will be in the Spring at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yarmouth.
