Born in Boston, March 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Royce) Baker and Roland Morris Baker, Jr., and grew up with her three sisters in Weston, MA, graduating from The Winsor School, Boston. A lifelong sailor, Mary spent summers gardening and sailing the coast of Maine with her husband.
