Stanley E. Bubier Sr.

Biography:

Stanley E. Bubier Sr. died Saturday, March 19th at Central Maine Medical following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 12, 1933 in Greene, Maine the son of Chester and Mary (Bretton) Bubier. His greatest passion in life was his race horses. He was a prominent owner and driver on the Maine harness racing circuit for many years. He was a twenty five plus year employee for the Maine State Harness Racing Commission. He also worked for as a road Commissioner  for the Town of Greene.

Stanley was predeceased by a daughter, Starr Ellen, and 4 siblings, Carl, Fred, Inez, and Rose.

He is survived by his loving wife Penelope Roberts Bubier; his 8 children and their spouses, Stanley Jr. and Pamela, Sheldon and Judy, Kevin and Christine, Scott and Irene, Gregory and April, Susan Graham, Sharalyn Mason and Tracy and Trevor Barker. Also is survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, and 7 siblings, Earle, Randy, Evelyn, Geraldine, June, Esther, and Judy.

There will be a celebration of Stanley’s life at our home on 68 Penny Lane, Greene, March 25, 2016 at 1:00 to 5:00.
