June Roberta Bruce

Biography:

June Roberta (Allen) Bruce, 84, of Brunswick, ME, passed peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's on June 6, 2024. She was born in Pittston, Maine, in 1940 to Robert and Grace Allen. Baptized in the Congregational Church, faith played a strong role throughout her life. She lived with her parents, brothers, and sister until the age of 15. She was a 1958 alumni of Bridge Academy. She married Hollis Eugine Bruce in Randolph, ME, on December 13, 1957. In 1958, they were blessed with their daughter, Cheryl.

June was a longtime Tour Manager for Maine Line Tours accompanying Hollis while he drove across the United States. She loved the 4th of July family reunions and spending time at their summer cottage. She was an avid member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed coffee time among her many friends. She loved cats, baking cookies, and making custom jewelry.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Bruce; and her son-in-law, Michael Atwood.

June is survived by her brother, Calvin Allen and companion Betty Harman of Randolph; sister, Beryl and husband Don Stover of Waldoboro; daughter, Cheryl Atwood of Topsham; her granddaughter, Amanda, and her husband, Andrew Hughen, and great-grandson, Rowen Hughen of Lewiston.
