Biography:

Irene C. Brown, 78, of Lewiston, sadly passed away on Friday, November 26th, 2021 at CMMC. She was born on June 10th, 1943 the daughter of Henry and Eva Gravel.

Irene worked in food services at Lewiston Public Schools, and Bates College. She also worked in shoe shops.

She was predeceased by both parents; a brother, Roger Gravel; and sisters Anita Cusson, and Lucille Hartzell.

Surviving her are her daughter, Lisa and husband Burton Miller of Vassalboro; son Mick Brown and wife Jill of Sabattus; grandchildren Amber-Lee Philbrook and husband David of Norway, Colby Brown of Lewiston, Deanna Brown and significant other Zach of Wales; great grandchildren Kaylin and Kenslee Philbrook and Colt Allen; sisters Jeanne Baril of Lewiston, Terri Suminski of Turner, Diane Beaulieu of Billerica, MA; brothers, Ronald Gravel and wife Adrienne of Lewiston, Gerard Gravel and wife Patricia of Sabattus, Maurice Gravel of Bowdoin, Roland Gravel and significant other Sharon of Lewiston, and Robert Gravel of Lewiston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins

Irene's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the ER and ICU doctors and nurses at Central Maine Medical Center.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Funeral and cremation services are being provided by Funeral Alternatives, and Gracelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to family to help with medical and funeral expenses.
