Biography:

Augusta - Rene Jean Brochu passed away Sunday June 4th at his home on Eastern Ave after battling an illness. Born July 17th 1949 the son of Rose (Grondin) and Dorilas Brochu. He was educated in the Augusta area schools and spent his life working on cars. Rene was predeceased by his parents, and siblings: Norman, Robert, Oneil, Gerald, and Jeanette Clowes. Surviving are his four sons Billy, Rene, Joe, and Tom and their significant others Danielle, Katie, Tammie, and Dee respectively. His Sisters Claire Lavigne, Rachel Siviski, Patricia Tanner, and Brothers Paul, Raymond, and Richard. His Grandchildren Michael, Halley, Madeleine, Allison, Ella, Kacy, Lily, Liam, Kaylee and Ryan.
Except for riding his motorcycles, building hot rods, helping friends, and playing with his grandchildren, Rene lived a very simple life and asked little of those around him. His good nature and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew him.
