Biography:

Fred “Brad” Ronell Bradbury age 87, passed on May 21, 2023 at his home in Lewiston, Maine. Born on October 18,1935 to Frank and Gertrude Bradbury of Berwick, Maine. Fred attended Gorham State Teachers College where he earned his teaching certificate and University of Southern Maine for his Master’s in Education. He then devoted 33 years of teaching. After retirement from the classroom, he started a second career driving school bus and that turned into 30 years that was only stopped by COVID. Fred was drafted in the United States Army and has been a true Patriot his whole life. He was a Mason at the St. John’s Lodge #51 in South Berwick, Maine for over 60 years, for over 40 years he was a member of the American Legion Post #86 in Gray, Maine and his most recent interest has been the Downeast Streetrod Club and his 1938 Chevy.

Fred is predeceased by his parents Frank and Gertrude Bradbury and his brothers’ Dana and Mark Bradbury all from Berwick, Maine.

Brad is survived by Brenda F. Bradbury his wife of 62 years, his oldest son Dana and wife Jennifer Bradbury of Old Orchard, his daughter Lorraine and husband Christopher Knight of Rockport, the youngest son Jason and wife Tina Bradbury of New Gloucester and Joelle and Tom MacDonald of Scarborough, Maine. The grandchildren Tyler, Lindsey, Madison and Jace Bradbury, Caleb and Lydia MacDonald a niece Rae Enslin, nephew Darren Bradbury and Sister in Law Avis Ford.

The family would like to say thank you to Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice for their kindness.

The service will be Friday, May 26th at Funeral Alternatives 25 Tampa Street Lewison, Maine. 4-6:30 is visitation followed by a 6:30 service.

The committal will be held at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the New Gloucester Congregational Church fuel assistance fund.
