Biography:

Joyce Bowie, 80, of Naples passed away on October 21, 2018 at her home in Naples. She was born in Waterville, Maine on May 23rd, 1938 to parents Bernard and Wilda (Doucette) Began.

She attended Waterville schools.

Joyce enjoyed being home, taking care of children both her own and the kids from the neighborhood during the daytime. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed country music with her husband Carroll. Joyce loved to watch horror movies, especially the Godzilla films. She also loved animals, always wanting to help them in some way.

She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband of 58 years, Carroll.

Surviving her are her children, Roxeanne, Mark and his wife, Jestine, Catherine, and Carroll.

At her request there will be no services. A private burial will take place at the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the ASPCA.
