Biography:
Waterville Maine-Bessie L Bourdeau 99 of West River Road passed away peacefully on Sunday May 25, 2014 at The Woodlands Senior Living Center embraced by her loving family as she started her journey home.
She was born on December 23 1914 In Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Gracie (Baxter) Denton.
Bessie worked at the Town Hall in South Hadley MA for a number of years. Prior to that she was a full time Mom and did great job at that.
She enjoyed bowling, bingo, crossword puzzles, cards ,dominos, the Red Sox, and above all else spending time with her family. In her younger years she was ranked as one of the top 10 spellers in the state of Kansas.
She was predeceased by her parents and her stepmother Anna Denton; husband Emile, sister Rosalyn Moses and her twin sister Jessie Denton.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Edward and Blanche Bourdeau of South China ME, step daughters Eleanor Maynard and Beverly Cullen of St Albans, Vermont and their families, granddaughter Carrie Kauser, her husband Andrew Kauser, and great granddaughter Hadley Kauser of Barrington Illinois, grandson Bill Hupfer, and great grandson William Hupfer of Burlington, Vermont, niece Maggie Maier and her husband Karl of St Petersburg Florida, and nephew Robert Gruver and his family also of Florida.
A memorial service will take place on June 7th at St Paul’s United Methodist Church in St Albans, Vermont, and a graveside service in South Hadley, Mass at a future date.
