Biography:

Georgette L. Boucher, 91, of Auburn, died on November 7th, 2016 at the Androscoggin Hospice House after battling heart disease. She was born on March 9th, 1925, the daughter of Roy LeBlanc and Marie Custeau LeBlanc.

She was a graduate of Edward Little High School with the class of 1942, and a resident of New Auburn all of her life.

On August 20th, 1949, she married Robert Boucher, her best friend and love of her life whom she spent 61 years with until his death in 2011.

Georgette enjoyed spending time with her family of sisters, brothers, children, and grandchildren. She was quiet, kind, and always put her family first.

For many years she worked for Casco Bank in Auburn and Lewiston. She was a lifetime member of St. Louis Church.

Georgette is survived by her son, Paul Boucher and his wife, Jean of Auburn; one daughter Denise Boucher-Fitzpatrick and her husband Terrance Fitzpatrick of Camden; two grandsons Brian Fitzpatrick and his wife Caitlin and their children Carly, Colin, and Brynn, and Russell Fitzpatrick and his wife Meghan and their daughter Delaney; two step-granddaughters Erica Nimiroski and her husband Brian of Hope Valley Rhode Island, and their sons Daniel and Alex, Jennifer Dilworth and her husband Edward, and their daughter Kate; Georgette’s sisters Venise Dube of Lewiston, Annette Frechette of Auburn, Irene Witas and her husband Warren of Auburn; a sister-in-law Christine LeBlanc of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert; brothers Roland and Gerry LeBlanc; Sisters Rita LeBlanc, and Germaine County.

Georgette’s family would like to thank Androscoggin Homecare and Hospice for the special care that was given to her through her sickness. They truly showed kindness and professionalism. Special thanks also to the Hospice House for the gentle and compassionate care she received in her final days.

Visiting hours will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, November 11th, 2016 at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa St. Lewiston, Maine. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 11am on Saturday, November 12th, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice House, c/o Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice 15 Strawberry Ave. Lewiston, Maine 04240.
