Ruth M. Blatchford

Biography:

Gorham-Ruth McGeorge Blatchford, 92, died on May 15, 2010 at the Gorham House in Gorham, Maine.

She was born on Jan. 12, 1918 in Summit, NJ the daughter of Howard and Mame McGeorge.  She spent most of her life in Jew Jersey.

She was active in the Fortnightly Club, Summit, NJ as well as the Unitarian Church.  She also was a lifetime member of the Appalachian Mountain Club.

She enjoyed travel and visited countries world wide.  She also enjoyed and was a big supporter of art and music.

Ruth worked for 27 years as an administrative assistant in the research department of CIBA Pharmaceutical Co., now called Novartis.

She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Douglas, Donald and Marie; and her husband, Wesley.

Ruth is survived by eight nieces and nephews and their families.

A Memorial service will take place in Summit, NJ at the Unitarian Church date to be determined.
