Date of Death: October 30, 2024
Date of Birth: March 7, 1974
Biography:
Augusta- October 30 2024 Jennifer L. Birch (Pooler) passed after years coping with grief and loss. She will be remembered by her fierce and generous heart, creativity and adventurous spirit. Jen spent most of her life growing up in Belgrade, Maine before heading to California to pursue her love of the ocean and adventure. Jen achieved a degree as a commercial diver. She met her ex-husband in California and the two travelled to Louisiana to begin their careers working in offshore oil rigs. Not long they learned they were pregnant and made the decision to return to Maine.
Jen would later have a total five of children, Nora, Ayden, Gwen, Haven and Avryn. She would spend the next 17 years raising kids, photographing hundreds of local kids, weddings and landscapes. In 2014, we lost Jen's oldest daughter, Nora, and the toll of grief and loss overcame the love and life that surrounded her.
Jen is survived by her parents, Gerry and Anna May Pooler, her sister Jessica Pooler and son Harrison, and the lights and purpose of her life Ayden, Gwen, Haven and Avryn. Jen also is survived by a beautiful granddaughter Emelyn and a soon to be grandson, Cillian. She left many cousins and friends as well who impacted her life and supported she and her kids through many years We would like to especially acknowledge Sondra and Mike Walsh and Becky McPhail and Kasey Larsen. She was loved by so many.
We are one another's memories. We live on being remembered by family, friends and our hopes and dreams. Our family encourages everyone to grieve the losses in our lives but also to find a way not to stay there. Beyond the bend of a dark path is the hope for a better tomorrow.
Graveside services will be held November 14, 2024 at 10:00 am at Pine Grove Cemetery Belgrade, ME. A celebration of life will be held at Jen and her children's home immediately after.
