Biography:

West Bath- Larry "Smokey" Barrington, 64, died of an unexpected illness on January 16, 2020, in Brunswick, Maine. 

Larry was born on February 11,1955 in Kittery, Maine to his parents, Marion and Mary Lou Barrington. He married Cindy White in 1989. The Barrington's moved to West Bath where Larry worked for BIW as Shipfitter. Larry was also a fisherman and truck driver, where he was able to enjoy traveling the country.

Larry was a patient and supportive husband and father. He was an animal lover and avid hunter; Larry was acknowledged by the Maine Antler and Skull Trophy Club. He had a passion for building and restoration. In his early retirement he restored an old houseboat and brought it back to its glory for his family to enjoy on the lake during the summers.

Larry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cindy Barrington, of West Bath; his daughter, Kayla White, of Bath; his son Allan "Nick" Barrington and his wife Hannah, of Bath; his little buddy and grandson Grayson Davis of Bath; his sister Sharon Gaudette of Brunswick; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Marion and Mary Lou Barrington, and his brother Frank Barrington.

Larry will have a springtime burial at St. John's Cemetery in Brunswick. A Celebration of Life will take place on January 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Maine Maritime Museum. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Larry's life.
