Biography:

AUGUSTA MAINE – Theresa R. Babcock, 85, of Augusta, died at Augusta Rehabilitation on November 27^th, 2011.

 

She was born in Fall River, MA on March 22nd,1927 the daughter of Napoleon and Julianna (Bacon) Aubut.

 

Theresa attended Fall River Schools. She then married Chester Babcock in 1947 and they moved to Norton where they lived for many years.

 

She worked at Taunton State Hospital for many years and then went on to work at Wheaton College in Norton. She enjoyed singing, Bingo, and word games.

 

Theresa is survived by daughters Cheryl and husband Leo of Augusta, ME, Mary Ellen and husband Eddie Romeu of NJ; and Julianna Souza; brother Leo Aubut of Assonet, MA; grandchildren Naomi, Joseph Souza, Leslie Holmes, Leo Lebeau of ME, Eliza Romeu of NJ; great-grandchildren Landon Holmes of CA and Daniel Lebeau of ME; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Chester; son Chester; and son Kenneth.

 

Burial committal services  will be held at Timothy Plains Cemetery, Norton, MA, on Saturday, December 8^th.
