Biography:
Phyllis E. Austin, 79, of Augusta, passed away on Friday, December 5th, 2014 at Glenridge in Augusta.
She was born in Augusta, Maine on June 17th, 1935 to parents Herman Sr. and Frances (Farrington) Knowles.
Phyllis enjoyed gambling and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband of 40 years, Ralph Austin.
Surviving her are her two daughters: Esther Wells, and Diane Libby and her husband Doug; her three grandchildren: Heather Woodman, Keith Wells and his wife Liza, and Jeremy Sawyer; 6 great grandsons; and her brother, Herman Knowles Jr and his wife Diane.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
