Biography:
Karen Jacquith (Henderson) Arsenault, 80, passed away on April 16, 2023 in Casco, Maine due to complications associated with Alzheimer's. She was surrounded by her daughter Cindy, son-in-law Steve, and sister Vicki at the time of her passing.
Karen was born in Portland, Maine in 1942 and attended Waynflete in Portland before graduating from South Portland High School in 1960. She had fond memories of spending summers at Prout’s Neck and boating on Casco Bay, and of winters in Jackson, NH, skiing Tuckerman’s and other area mountains.
After graduation, Karen spent time living in NYC and Boston, being crowned Miss Maine in 1962. After living many places including Puerto Rico, Southern California, Michigan, Connecticut, and Toronto, she settled in Maine, working for many years as a legal assistant at Verrill & Dana, and hanging out at F. Parker Reidy’s, where she met her husband, Bob “Q-Man” Arsenault. They spent many years in Maine, eventually retiring early to spend winters in Potrero, Costa Rica, and summers in Gray, Maine, caring for their grandchild.
Karen was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Robert Arsenault of Yarmouth and parents, Bob and June Henderson of South Portland. She is survived by her sister, Vicki Chapin of Old Orchard Beach (Dick), daughters Cindy of Gray, ME (Steve) and Melissa of Keswick, VA (John), and son John of Richmond, ME, as well as 5 grandchildren.
The family plans a private service to celebrate Karen's life.
