Date of Death: February 13, 2024

Date of Birth: July 24, 1949

Biography:

Cynthia was born in a small house in Manchester, MA near the ocean on July 24,1949. During her younger years she lived in the towns of Wenham, Danvers and Hamilton, MA. Her brother, Guy, was born a few years later. She graduated from Hamilton-Wenham Regional H.S.
While growing up she preferred playing with boys, enjoyed fishing, riding her bike and nature walks. She would often bring back creatures to her mom who would quickly to put them back where they came from.
An important experience for her was spending many summers at Camp Betsey Cox in Pittsford, VT. A friend of the family convinced her parents to have her go to camp and it was a true blessing. She started as a camper and went on to being a counselor and heading up tennis, the vegetable garden, the small animal farm, and editing the camp's newsletter, The Bubbler. She was very appreciative of the skills developed and the confidence gained. Over the years the family would enjoy family camping during vacations there.
Cindy decided to study at U Maine in Orono, ME where she met her future husband, David. After David graduated , she  transferred to Framingham State College, got married and received a BA in Elementary Education. They owned two houses in N. Billerica, MA before following her folks to live in Fryeburg, ME. She received a Master's Degree in Reading from USM in Gorham, ME.
Her employment included The Christian Science Publishing Society, Lowell Community Teamwork, nurse's aide at Fryeburg Health Care Center, local retail stores, Fryeburg, ME and Conway, NH school systems and pony ride handler at NestleNook Inn in Jackson, NH. She also helped many families with kids and seniors over time. She also received a CNA certificate while working at the Fryeburg Health Care Center.
She enjoyed her daughter, Robyn, and son, Justin. She went to their school events, took them swimming on the Saco River followed by treats at Jessie's store and attending many Fryeburg Fairs.
When needed she found a beautiful assisted living facility in Sarah Frye Home in Auburn, ME. The staff were so caring, her needs were met and the activities program was wonderful.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cindy may be made to the charity of one's choice.
A community celebration of life service is planned after the weather warms in Fryeburg, ME in May or June. Details will come later.
