Dear Family and Friends of Allen Strickland,

About forty years ago Allen and I did a project that invited a group of Stevens School girls to be trained and to volunteer in Allen's Remotivation activities at AMHI, a project that was written up in the Boston Herald. His professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm were priceless. What a wonderful role model he was for my students! Just today I learned of his illness and his passing. With sadness and much respect, I send you my sincere condolences. May your family, friends, and faith comfort you.

To Allen's Family:
I have been away for several months and did not know that Allen passed away. I also didn't know he had been sick. Allen gave me first job in Maine in 1977 and remained very special to me all these years. Although we rarely saw one another, we always had a wonderful connection thru music, food and humor. I'm saddened and shocked and wanted you to know he will not be forgotten.
