Dear Jori,
I am terribly sorry to hear the untimely death of Daniel. I heard it just a few days ago from a friend (Emily). Daniel was a great friend who used to send me a Christmas card before anyone else. I have all the pictures in my mind how kindly you treated me at your place and the words of consolations he gave me. I always remember him and miss him as a kind friend with a golden heart.
Let his soul rest in peace.

Sending belated sympathy to the Rynberg family. We were deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Our son, Jared Hummer had "Mr. R" for second grade-he is now a Junior at Clarkson University-something I'm sure Dan would be proud of. A night didn't pass that "Mr. R" would be mentioned at dinner. He was a wonderful influence on our very active son. His guidance and subtle suggestions were so welcomed and he truly was an inspiration to Jared. We will have fond memories of the dinner conversations about how or what "Mr. R" would do in certain situations. May all your special memories of Dan hold him close to your hearts.

I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He was a great guy and I have many fond memories of the good times we had together when we were kids in Michigan. All the best to his family.

Dan is greatly missed, especially when he smiled his boyish grin. His Honda Insight's transmission was replaced the day after he passed, so my husband was thinking of him as he drove it home. Funny, but we will always think of the Insight we bought from Dan as "Dan Rynberg's Insight". I so enjoyed the experiences that Jori and Dan shared...the young and adult lives they transformed over the years with their wisdom, kindness and generosity...mine, included. I once found M&M Mega's, with 3 times the chocolate as regular M&M's...just the right size for Dan! The other day, I made different sized chicken buns...and gave Jori a big one to honor Dan!

I will always remember Dan’s joyful smile and his great storytelling. He always had a story or two to tell of one adventure or another. Thoughts and love to Jori and Martha as you hold him in your hearts.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Rynberg’s passing. It been over 25 years since I was in first grade and I can still hear him reading Shel Silverstein’s Where the Sidewalk Ends and Charlotte’s Web. He had the best Wilbur voice.

Jori and Martha,
I was so sorry to read that Dan had died. Please know that you are in my thoughts and you can find peace from all your good memories.
Of course, I remembered how much I enjoyed teaching with him. He was such a kind hearted, caring, thoughtful person. As much as he loved teaching, you were always the center of his life.
I posted on Facebook to pass the news on to his many colleagues at JA. There were so many wonderful comments remembering his love of the children, his kindness, his playing kickball with the children at recess, being Abe Lincoln, and many more. (I tried to copy and paste but it didn't work).
He will be remembered.

Jori (and family) - I am sorry to read of Dan's passing. You are in my thoughts during this challenging time.

January 13, 2021 | Ruth Wilson - Brunswick, Maine -- United States

I was privileged to work with Dan for so many years at Jordan Acres in the Primary Pod. He was a good friend, not just to me, but to everyone. He was a very kind and caring soul. My sincerest condolences to all of you: Jori, Martha, Mary, Olivia, Carter, and the rest of your family. He always spoke so proudly of you. I hope that you will find some comfort in the knowledge that so many people thought so fondly of Dan.
With deepest sympathy,
Ruth
