November 25, 2024 | Heidi Pimentel - Cranston , Rhode Island -- United States

We were deeply saddened to learn of Rhonda's passing. We only saw her once or twice a year, but each time we did it's as if we saw her yesterday. It would be hugs all around and we'd exchange little gifts. As we became friends we'd text her to tell her we were coming and to make sure she'd be there. Our family has a tradition of spending New Years in Freeport. Since our boys were very little we would come up and the highlight of our visit would be heading to the Broad Arrow Tavern daily around 3:00 or 4:00 for a break. We always sat at the bar so we could talk to Rhonda. She'd give our boys blueberry sodas and we'd order a late lunch and love catching up with her. She was just a lovely person. She was a friend and we are going to miss her so much. We won't be able to visit the Harraseeket any more. It would be just too sad. I heard the Broad Arrow Tavern has been turned into something else which seems so sad as she was the heart of the Broad Arrow. I know we'd not be able to go in there now anyway. It would be too difficult knowing she wouldn't be there. We send our deepest condolences to her husband and family. We will never forget Rhonda. Her life was a blessing to many.
Her friends from Rhode Island, Edward, Heidi, Harrison and Liam Pimentel as well as Joyce O'Malley.

We are so saddened to learn of the loss of Rhoda. She was such a wonderful person. We got to know Rhonda when we would stop in at the Harraseeket Inn for our annual New Years trip to Freeport Maine. We got to know each other and we began to look forward to our various trips up north to see her. She always had the blueberry soda ready for our boys who are now young men. We would see her each year and it would be hugs all around. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a true one of a kind person who our family considered a dear friend. She even would make us personal Christmas gifts. We are so sorry. She will be missed.
Ed, Heidi, Harrison and Liam Pimentel.

My Dad, Jack Crosskill, had a small job at the pharmacy in Freeport after my Mom passed away. The Broad Arrow Tavern was his go-to place for a beer after work, specifically sitting at the bar and bantering back and forth with Rhonda for a good hour or more. She was the perfect bartender & was the reason many people kept going back. She was kind, happy, funny & upbeat. My Dad eventually drew in our whole family for many lunches and joyous gatherings filled with laughter, always with Rhonda waiting on us. She would hug my Dad whenever he came in, always treating him as someone very special, and eventually hugged all of us. She and my sister Karen became good friends & my brothers Scott, Chuck& Mike loved joking with her. To us, the Harraseeket WAS Rhonda. The Crosskill family will miss her very dearly. May she rest well and peacefully wherever her spirit brings her. We love you Rhonda. The Crosskill 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I brought my father there MANY times for lunch and Rhonda always served us. She always greeted us with a hug and great conversation. She always gave my Dad a complimentary beer or dessert each time we went in. Just a lovely individual who made my Dad’s day and he so looked forward to seeing Rhonda and eating at the Broad Arrow Tavern. She also came to Dad’s 90th birthday party at the Sea Dog in Topsham. I had not visited Rhonda since my Father died a few years back and was extremely saddened by her passing. She will be missed by many.

My family was introduced to Rhonda through my dad, Jack Crosskill. He worked part time at a local pharmacy, and would go to the Harraseeket bar for lunch, where she would caustically entertain him as he would try tastes of different beers, eat a bowl of clam chowder, and get a free dessert of his choice. To us who got to know Rhonda through him, she was the face of the Harraseeket, and they couldn't have had a better interface with people. We all loved her, and she will be greatly missed.
