Clare, I am so saddened to hear of your husband, Steve's death. It has to be a true shock and almost unbearable loss. Please know that you are in my thoughts. Colin and I were in the Brunswick Library the other day and of course missed the rug. I will go back to see it. Let time take its course. You have a treasure chest of memories. Caroline

Clare, I met Stephen when I stopped by Araby
in 2014. I had to move, had no definite date, had no idea what to do with my rugs or when I could retrieve them. Stephen was so friendly and helpful. He just offered the solution and I left with a load lifted. I saw him again in April and thought again, what a lovely person. My condolences at your loss.

Dear Clare and Justin,
I have so many fond memories of conversations
with Clare and Steve during my ARABY RUGS visits. It was always interesting and fun to chat with you both, learn about your travels
and explore Steve's advertising views.
After retiring from publishing, I would drive by and think I should stop by just to say "hello"! I stopped by with a friend, who was picking up a rug last fall. I was sitting outside in her vehicle when I heard Steve's voice say, is that Linda Horstmann?

Wonderful memories and your introducing me to your passion for the rugs.

Clare, we are so sorry for you and your entire family. We weren't at Araby very often, except to get our rugs cleaned every now and then and always looked forward to seeing Steve. He will be missed by all.
