As a part time summer sailor mostly in J22, I wish to humbly add these thoughts.
John King Jr was a grand man. A true gentleman who loved sailing, all people, especially his family. He was a joy to know, a friend to all, a man with a big heart and large piece of God in him. He is one of the foundation stones of StoneHorse Yacht Club an a privilege to all of us to have know him.
John King Jr is one of those rare and special people who really don’t leave us. He reached out to so many sailors and their families , his legacy will remain as long as StoneHorse Yacht Club stands. Bob Wilson

Great memories of this wonderful, kind man. He never created waveband radiated Peace and kindness in everything he did. Eyes always smiling and never a harsh word about anyone or anything. John and Fred Rogers were kindred spirits. They liked you just the way you were. He leaves the world a better place because of his participation. He did not have the easiest life but never complained and always spread peace and kindness in his wake. Thanks John... enjoy your Chardonnay as you watch your grandchildren spread your kindness to future generations of Kings
