Though I did not know Nancy long I wanted to extend my sincere condolences to Alison and Johnathan. I will remember your Mom for her kindness and smile when I came to visit her.

The same evening I learned of Nancy’s passing, I received a card from her, wishing me well through a recent cancer diagnosis. She had written the note to me on the day she died. This kind gesture speaks volumes about who Nancy was as a person and as a friend. I will miss her thoughtful, inquisitive nature, evident right to the end of her life.

Nancy, along with her husband David, was a strong member of the Brunswick Friends Meeting community for many years, and we will miss her presence. In recent months as Nancy was failing I had more of a chance to be with her during needed rides to places, or simply to have a cup of tea. I heard of the trips her family had taken to various places - more than I heard at the time. What an education, visiting all those places! I salute her spirit of adventure.
