I am late in signing this guestbook as I am just getting relocated in Maine. My heart was broken into pieces when I heard about Dr. Guernelli's passing. He was the best doctor ever..so personable as well as professional. When I went to him for pain shots, he knew how to relax me; he told jokes. When I went in for an exam right after I turned 70 he told me that the old 70 is the new 45.I hung onto that and have passed it on to dozens of women. I'm 80 now and still feel 45 because of Dr. Guernelli. The very last time I went to him he couldn't get over how good I looked for my age and asked me what my secret was. I told him it was Jesus and that I produced a Christian t.v. show. This is what he said: "From now on I am going to skip watching the morning news and I am going to watch your show instead". He wasn't only a first class doctor; he was a first class human being. He spoke of his wife, children and mother at all my appointments. Praying for the family.

Dr Guernelli I was so hopeful this day would never happen.Thank you for saving me by seeing what no other doctor could. Your example of "bed side manner" made me a much more discriminate patient. I always wanted to be the president of your fan club and I always will be. RIP and thank you.

John was an amazing man, doctor, mentor and friend. His smile would light a room, and his laughter was so infectious. While the world has lost a bright light, the heavens have gained a brilliant and shining star. To the Guernelli Family I send heartfelt sympathies, prayers and hugs. You are a beautiful legacy.

Dear Karen and family,
Dr. G's passing has broken so many hearts. He was the best, most compassionate physician that I have ever met or worked with. No matter how much pain I was in, his smile and compassion always made me feel better and I knew he would help me in any way he could. We had many wonderful conversations over the years and some interesting connections. My daughter is Janelle El Ghazouani and I remembered him telling me one of two of his kids had her as their teacher.
I trusted him completely and know many others did as well. A great human-being that will be forever missed.

Living next door to his wonderful mother and knowing his children, especially Hannah, I feel like I got to know John too.
His smile was what gave away his gentleness and kindness. I am sad for Karen and the kids as they have had to endure years of losing him and happy they were able to be with him through his dying journey.
