I interacted with Bernie many times at Draper and it was always a unique and interesting experience. He was technically skilled, knowledgeable on a large number of topics, funny, and entertaining. I was happy to have known him and I extend my sympathies to his family.

Dear Sandy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Bernie was a loving and dedicated family man. I have fond memories of him having those cups of tea with my parents at Five Islands. And his great love of animals. He will be missed.

Bernie was a colleague at Draper Laboratory starting in 1966 and his office was next door to mine. I remember his quirky sense of humor and his work ethic. Bernie was a major contributor to the Apollo Hybrid Simulator as well as the Space Shuttle simulator.
