Dear John:
Karen and I were very sad to hear of Sheila's passing. We always enjoyed Sheila: she was so genial and upbeat. The picture for her obit. catches that well.
Your annual Christmas letters were always a delight to us. I looked at one you wrote in 2014 and found it nice that you were still able to enjoy going to concerts together even then.
I never knew Sheila did factory work to support the WWII war effort.
John, we are really sorry for your loss.
Tom and Karen

Dear John.
We were so sorry to hear about Sheila’s death. She was a delightful lady and we are both so pleased to have had the opportunity to meet her. It’s hard to believe that 11 years have passed since we made your acquaintance on that wonderful trip to Alaska aboard The Yorktown Clipper. We well remember her delight at the fact that you lived in Newcastle, Maine and we lived in Newcastle, England and that she could share some memories of her time living in the UK. That Alaskan trip still lives in our memories as being very special and we were delighted to maintain contact with you both over years to follow. We enjoyed hearing about your holidays, family and life in general in the U.S.
We will be thinking of you in the coming weeks and send our deepest sympathies to you and your family.
With kindest regards.
Gill & Clive Carr.

Dear John,
Very sorry to hear of Sheila's passing. I certainly enjoyed getting to know the two of you while you lived on Glidden Street. I remember fondly our little chats while she, you, or the two of you walked your dog up and down the street.
Lorraine has told me that you two found a great home in Brunswick, which brought you much pleasure and contentment. This new community, I hope, will continue to support and embrace you, especially at this sad and stressful time in your life.
I will keep you in my prayers.
Fondly,
Stephen
