Dear Sarah,

I was sorry to read of your mother's death, although I know she had been failing for a long time and was perhaps ready to move on to the next step. Her obituary was a lovely tribute. I wish I had known her in her "salad days." She leaves a wonderful family, and I hope her grand- and great grandchildren have strong memories of her.

If ever you feel able to visit an old (very old now) friend, please stop by if or when you and Russ are walking about Ocean Point. It would be a great treat to have a chat. In the meantime, I am about to fly to Scotland for a week with daughter Catherine and her daughter, Linnea, primarily to attend granddaughter Mali's graduation from St. Andrews.
