Hi to our dear friends the Edgar's et al.

We just heard of Hugh's passing today Sunday October 23rd and of course were saddened by word of his loss.

Dianne says she has very fond memories of your Dad being a Church member and of you all at Dewey Beach on lake Sunapee.

I will not forget his wit, humor, and the stern looks he cast if he did not approve of something. He was very generous about taking Michael, Susan and myself skiing and he was just an outstanding human being to be around.

I was building a new fence around the cemetery on East St., which he and Bob Stone helped 'cut' parts for, and he was always challenging my engineering thought processes while I was building it. An intellectual of great humility and personal example even though that personal example 'stuff' was intimidating at times.

I will miss Hugh's gentle smile and laugh. He always made our conversations at the Y pleasant and friendly. He was the last of the "White T-shirt Gang" of gentlemen who were regular morning exercisers and all are now sorely missed.He always spoke so lovingly about living close to his children and grandchildren, and how his dear Marilyn baked him fresh bread each week. Deepest condolences to Hugh's fine and caring family.
