Whatever happens, God is there to keep you safe within His care.
As long as you keep the memories of your father in your heart, he will always be near.
As Brother Jeff says, "he is in the Best Place."
You are always in our thoughts and prayers,
Love you MommaK and Mike

I'm one of his stepdaughters, and i guess you can say i kinda carried on one of his traditions...when we were kids we had a paper route, getting up early and delivering papers on sunday really sucked! but he told us if we wanted anything we had to make our own money.,and thats what we did.Well, the thing is,he'd always make this huge breakfast on sundays! but not until we got home from delivering papers.that sometimes would be 9-9;30! then we wouldnt eat til 10 or so! but it was always a big one, with the 7 kids and mom!I member one time i was so hungry when he whipped up something we had the night before,a boiled dinner, yup! threw it all in a frying pan! even the sweet potato! totally disgusting,n the smell!?OMG! he called it HASH!he said i would like it,the smell of that sweet potato frying? totally lost my appetite! long story short...I cook big breakfastes on sundays! And its just my husband and I,.... with no sweet potatoes!

My condolence to the family! John was a great man. He cut my hair as a kid, and became a friend as an adult. Nothing like playing some cards or a game of cribbage.

We were so sorry to hear of John's passing. We have many memories of Johnnie. I remember when we were kids and what a pain in the butt he was when he would come to our house to visit Wayne and Gordon. He will be greatly missed. All our love to Stacy and Kelly and the rest of the family.

December 17, 2010 | Pam & Rich Templeton - Concord, Massachusetts -- US

Dear Lisa,

Please accept out deepest sympathy for your loss. John was very kind and saved our butts when we called in desperation looking for you to help us to get Drummer on the trailer on moving day back in 2009. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
