We were so saddened to hear of John's passing,
& send you our love & warmest condolences. John was a remarkable person, always respected for his kindness & gracious dignity, as well as for the respect he showed to others. He was a good friend, & will be greatly missed by so many who loved him. Please know that our thoughts & prayers are with you.

Martha and Girls,

Elle and I have so Appreciated your letters throughout Mr. Bicknell’s journey. (My Respect for him (and y’all) as well as my age requires me to not refer to him by first name).

The love you’ve shared throughout has served as a priceless lesson of understanding life, through your love and detail of your experience, for myself and my daughter, Elle. You’re strength & love & family has made us better people. Thank-you.

The one trip Elle’s been to Rangeley, we mentioned some of the Memories to a talkative passer-by, and the woman had one question, “Well you Must know John & Martha!”.
I’ve never heard one of your names without the other, which is a truly beautiful naturally occurring combination. Our prayers are very much with y’all at this Sad time.
