Linda, I am so very sorry for your loss. I still live in Lewiston and certainly would have visited your mom if I had known she was in Lewiston. She was such a wonderful and generous person. My mom (Lily, who passed away in 2008)and your mom traveled to the Holy Land years ago.
My sister Rolande and I worked for your parents at the Redwood Motel. I shall always remember her as an important part of my High School years.
I do hope you get the chance to read this as I just happened to Google her name.
With Prayers,
Betty

Dear Family, please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your dear, Cecile. I have fond memories of her, from my childhood days, in Lewiston. My father, Larry Lauze-age 90, remembers Cecile as "a good girl who was always pleasant." On behalf of Dad, myself and sisters Rachel Lauze, M.M. of Tokyo and Mariette Lauze-Renard of St. Louis, we wish you all God's peace as you recall your priceless memories, of Cecile.

I grew up around the Redwood Motel and I remember Mrs. Beland (& Mr. Beland) very well. We use to walk their huskies, Ora & Shenook ( and brush them too) and later, little polar, the Samoyed. We enjoyed them very much & Mr. & Mrs. Beland were always so very nice to us. We missed them after they sold the motel. My sympathies to the entire family.

My dad and mom (Fern and Lucette Landry) were friends of your parents for as long as I can remember. We visited their home in Old Orchard Beach several times. Please accept the sincere condolences of my entire family. (My mom passed away in 2012 - I can picture them having a nice reunion!)

To Cecile's family I extended my most sincere sympathies. I met Cecile and her granddaughter Tracey on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Cecile was a faithfilled and caring person. Though we lost contact over the years, the memories of our time together are never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
