Something told me to Google Leland's name tonight. I didn't expect to see an obituary and am very sad at his passing. My late husband, Richard, and I worked at Arnold Diamond Inc with Leland. Lots of good memories. Lots of laughs. Walking the beach, sharing bouillabaisse and nice wine.
Will always remember you, Leland. ♥️

To my loving brother Lee #1, I will always miss you but will always have you in my heart. May your next journey be as great as the one we have all had with you in it.
I love you

RIP Leland......you've had an exciting and exceptional life!!!! We were neighbors when I lived in Freeport and every spring I would stop by your house and steal your lilacs.....I was never caught, either!!! Thank you for your service and thank you for making life so much fun!!!! You are missed by EVERYONE who knew you!!

Dear # 1, my first Brother, my first Friend,
Your passing has torn a hole in the fabric of our family; we grieve your loss and will celebrate your life. So many wonderful memories to call on when we need a happy moment; so many special and numerous times they will sustain us forever.
You fought a lengthy battle to hang on for as long as possible and we were blessed to have you with us for so many years.
You have been welcomed with loving arms by Bubs and Andy and will be waiting with them in heaven for each of us as time passes.
I will never forget you.
Love,
# 2

Leland was 7 years my elder. He made me feel like he was my beloved older brother He was, of course, my cousin. I will miss him.

My dearest Leland (Andy), From the day we met and shook hands in Viet Nam to this very day you have been, still are, and always will be my shipmate, my Brother-In-Arms, my best Budrow, my house mate, my Best Man (and I yours) and most of all, simply MY BROTHER. Over the past 53 years I have spoken many times while telling of our adventures and said, "half the stories they wouldn't believe and the other half we probably shouldn't tell". I have loved every minute, no, every second of our time together and and now feel lost without you being here with me (and all of us). You have bravely led the way to where I go next and I won't be far behind you. Fair winds and following seas my brother, I love you and I'll see you again "on the beach" for our next Liberty Call. I miss you more than any words can ever express, love, Bob p.s. - How are they bitin' up there?
