Franklin Loyal Carter
1923-2010
Augusta- Franklin Loyal Carter, 87, of Augusta, Died on June 8,2010 in Augusta at Augusta Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on June 2, 1923 to Grover C. Carter and Ethelyn (Norton) Carter in Wesley, Maine.
He was a member of the Salvation Army and enjoyed doing Crossword Puzzles, listening to Audio Books, and ringing the bell for the Salvation Army during the holiday season.
Franklin worked for Jasper Wyman and Son of Milbridge, Maine for 35 years as a field manager for their blueberry fields. He also managed the strawberry farm in Deblois, Maine.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Beatrice Hill Carter, his brothers Burleigh Carter, Kenneth Carter, Half Brother Gary Day, half sister Elsie Stanwood.
He is survived by his children; Nancy Carter Robinson, David Carter and Mark Carter,10 grandchildren, 17 great grand children, and many great-great grand children.
There will be no calling hours. There will be a service at a later time.
