James G. O'Brien

Biography:

James G. O'Brien, formally of Greene, Maine passed peacefully at D'Youville Pavilion on October 1, 2023 at the age of 70.  He had resided there for 20 months.

James was born in Lewiston, Maine on April 16,1953 the son of late Gerald and Lillian O'Brien.  He attended local schools and earned his Eagle Scout award from Troop 158 in 1968.

He married Vicki Welch and they shared 38 years of marriage before her passing on December 9, 2021.

During his work career, Jim was employed by Lewiston Public Works and later worked at Bath Iron Works.  Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman.  His passion was woodworking, making cabinets and furniture for his home.

He was predeceased by his wife Vicki and daughter Mandy Nelson.

He is survived by his sister Linda Everett of Lewiston, nephew Jamie Everett of Lewiston, niece Jill Porter and husband Jason of North Carolina,  and a grandson Anthony Nelson.
