Biography:

Joseph L. McCarthy, 59, of Lewiston, ME passed away on 2/17/24 at home with his wife.

He was born 9/15/64 to Joseph Lawrence and Sally June McCarthy, Sr.

He was the owner of J.C. Custom Building and enjoyed playing cribbage, fishing with his grandson, listening to the Beatles, coin collecting, and antiquing,  He also enjoyed spending time with family, talking on the phone and his wife's cooking.

Joseph was predeceased by his daughter Meghan McCarthy, Joe's mother Sylvia/Sally McCarthy as well as maternal & paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his father Joseph L. McCarthy Sr. and his wife Kay McCarthy, brother Patrick McCarthy and wife Bethany, sister Katie & Mike Chabot, wife Lisa McCarthy and children Joseph Lawrence McCarthy III and 2 granddaughters Emma & Lydia McCarthy. Also stepson Shane McGinnis and wife Jennifer McGinnis, grandchildren Chandler and Brooklyn McGinnis, Kara Birks and husband Brian Birks and granddaughter Kodie Birks, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

Services to be held Saturday March 2nd 11AM to 1PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 545 Maple Hill Rd., Auburn, ME.
