Biography:

FARMINGDALE – Gerald “Jerry” Grazioso, 82, passed away peacefully at his home Monday July 10th with his wife and family by his side.  He was born in Gardiner April 19, 1941.  The son of Anthony and Evelyn Grazioso.  Jerry started work at the age of 16 at Bostonian Shoe which eventually became Common Wealth Shoe in Gardiner.  From there he went to work at Hallowell Shoe in Augusta before starting his career at Penmore Lithographers in Lewiston, where he retired from.  Jerry was a 50 plus years member of the Gardiner Knights of Columbus and a Fourth Degree Knight.  Jerry participated in nearly all council activities. If you attended Bingo on Friday night you probably would have seen him there calling out numbers.  Jerry loved socializing and playing a variety of card games with friend and family.  The game he enjoyed most was watching his favorite team The Green Bay Packers.  Checking off a bucket list item with his son Dean, he attended a Packers game at Lambeau Field and was welcomed opened arms to tailgate with a great group of Cheesehead fans.  Jerry loved family get togethers, canoeing the Saco River, camping at the Birches, dinners with close friends and just being surround by family and friends.

Jerry is predeceased by his mother and father.  Siblings Anthony, Pasquel, Lorenzo and Sister Loretta Malloy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Mary Ann.  Sons Deano T. of Augusta, Dean A. and wife Staci of Old Orchard Beach.  Daughters Kathy Grazioso-Avery husband Paul of Woolwich and Dee Ann Grazioso of Farmingdale.  5 Grandchildren Mike, Matthew, Jake, Diego & Kailey.  7 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.  Many close nieces and nephew whom he loved dearly.

The family would like to Thank the Maine General Hospice Nurses Donna, Shula, Kellie, Teresa & Ashley for the tender care and compassion shown during this difficult time.

There will be a mass of Christian burial at 10am July 19th 2023 at Saint Joseph’s church in Gardiner followed by a committal service at Chelsea Heights Cemetery in Chelsea.

In Lieu of flowers the family is asking that you make a donation in Jerry’s name to the ASPCA or a favorite charity.
