Naomi Rita Cesare

Biography:

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Rita Naomi Cesare on January 2, 2024 after a brief illness.  Rita was born in 1932 in Enfield Maine and was the daughter of Regina and John Pelkey.  In 1956, she married Lawrence Cesare and they resided in Mattawamkeag for many years.  Together they raised 5 children.  Rita wore many hats during her career.  She tended the family, worked in multiple restaurants as hostess through the years, worked with her sister Anita in Keene manufacturing computer monitors, and ended her career as a school bus monitor in her 80's.  Rita was a wonderful cook and passed her love of cooking to her children.  Rita loved to knit,  and for the past few years made many pairs of hats and mittens for the town of Minot and Mechanic Falls that were given out to residents each winter.  She also enjoyed her visits to the casino, watching the Red Sox and old westerns.  She is survived by one sister, Anita from New Hampshire, her 5 children; David, Karen, Sherri, James and his wife Lisa, and Mary and husband Doug, 6 grandchildren, Tory, Khristopher, Danielle,  Kimberly,  Doug,  and Sawyer,  15 great grandchildren,  and even 3 great, great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her brother Reginald and her sister Loretta.   At her request there will be no visitation or service.  In the spring, an internment in Lincoln will be planned.
