Although your physical presence will be sadly missed my friend, I know that the best part of you has gone nowhere. You will surely remain in the hearts of many and your Spirit is as alive as it ever was. Thank you for bringing me closer to God. Thank you for your laughter and experience. I still use some of your anecdote's in helping still others. You did good Larry!!!! Love you, God Bless

April 19, 2012 | LC Van Savage - Brunswick, ME -- USA

I have not seen Larry for over 30 years, although our son Mark Van Savage has. But Larry was someone I thought about a lot because he (and Mary Thayer Currier) saved Mark’s life, and so Larry was important to us---extremely important. I thanked him profusely back then and I thank him profusely now. I know he can hear me. In a short period of time all those years ago, Larry d. G. made a powerful impression on us and we could not ever possibly repay him---although he was not looking for repayment. But still, we owe him.
We’ll all see you again, Larry, and I’ll once again be able to thank you in person.

Pat and family: Please know that you are in my thoughts tonight. I have many good memories of Larry. He was warm, caring and a good listener who always had an opinion to share. We had some fun and lively conversations at times. I know how much family meant to him and how much he will be missed.May all the good memories be a comfort to you now.

There are too many words... if you've met me, you've met Larry daGomes. He was a mentor, father, and friend who I will miss forever. Thank God for men like him! Pat, Amy, and Michael, I love you all. You are in my thoughts prayers and will remain there in vigil; especially during the days to come. May your faith in the Lord sustain you and when the time allows, I know we will share together our many memories of our dearly beloved, one and only, goofy and lovable Larry. "Serenity NOW!" and Godspeed.

I am so sad to learn of Larry's passing. I have known him for many, many years. I used to cook for him at the 12 Hour Club, and spent many hours learning from his wisdom. He gave me a lot of strength when my husband passed away 9 years ago. His knowldge, wisdom, kindness, and laughter will always be in my heart. God Bless you all.
