Dear Beverly, Barbara, and the extended Ross family:
I am so very sorry that you have lost your dear Father. He and your Mom were a wonderful couple, angels here on Earth, doing so much to help so many. Their love story is an inspiration to all you knew them. I hope that the happy memories you shared as a family bring you some comfort and peace at this most difficult time of loss. He is with your dear Mother now, at that mansion in the sky, and at that peace that surpasses all understanding. His passing is the end of an era on Chebeague Island. That generation is truly the greatest generation, as the adversities they were challenged with in their youth, like the depression and World War 11 built character and integrity. May God be with you all and grant you the strength and the fortitude you need to carry on. Poochie was a prince of a man. Honor and treasure the legacy he leaves. love of fellow man and mammal, an he rowed his own boat almost to the end. Take good care of yourselves and know that you are all in my thoughts and my prayers. God be with you all.
My Deepest Condolences,
Ms. Stephanie Charlotte Curran Daughter of the Late Great Helen Doughty Curran
May he rest in eternal peace and rise in glory1

What gift was sent to heaven! Poochie Ross was so kind to me and he did love the mackerel I would bring into his kitchen. The next thing I knew there was fresh crabmeat in my refrigerator. My favorite pass time was to peer over at his fish house and watch him take off into Casco Bay to Lobster. To Barb and Bev, may you find comfort knowing how many people your dad touched.
