I was both shocked and deeply saddened seeing that Joyce had died. I have the fondest memories of growing up with the Palmans. The house on Hamel Street and the Grandmother's house and barn up the street. Michael and I were the best of buds and spent many summers in the clubhouse (chicken coop) at his Grandmother's. The Summer outings we all went to Sebago Lake, The Talaricos, Palmans and Spugnardis. My childhood was a great one and part of that greatness was because of Joyce and Ray and their family. As we become adults we get so busy with our lives that we or at least I lose contact with people. I was always thrilled to see Joyce and Marianna at the restaurant, especially after my mother died because it kept us connected. My deepest sympathies Ray, Fran, Cathy, Sue and David. Joyce will always remain close in my heart.
Love, Nick Jr.

Uncle Ray,
My Dad, Jim Palman, told me of Aunt Joyce's passing. I am sorry to hear this news. My thoughts are with you. When I think of you, I think of a kind, smiling face. We have met only a few times, for that I am glad. I hope you find comfort in the loved ones near and far that are praying for you at this difficult time.
Take Care,
Debbie Palman McDowell
(Jim's daughter, Tom's grandaughter)

Our condolences go out to the Palman family. Joyce was like the mother my husband did not have in this country and a grandmother to our children. She told it like it was and provided us with the guidance that we needed in our lives. There will be a big hole in our family with her passing. Ray we love you and are here for you. We love you "Mama Joyce"

My thoughts are with Uncle Ray and his children. I have such fond memories of Aunt Joyce. I remember spending time at her house when they lived on Hamel St in Lewiston. Aunt Joyce was always proud of her family.
