I have so many fond memories it is hard to narrow down to 500 words. Mrs. Kenney will always be an inspiration to me, her creativity, humor and kindness made visits on Old Elm and Sport Hill an adventure. An interesting project was always in the making in the kitchen (raspberry gooey), in the garden, in the barn. Our trips to Sasco beach, watching the Moms swim way out in the Sound, the sandy ride home. Her inimitable laugh...I'll never forget hearing that laugh coming from the TV while I was in my kitchen in San Francisco. I recognized it immediately, ran to see and there was Meo on the Antiques Roadshow with her doll furniture. Amazing! She was inimitable in every way. We will miss her.

Meo was just so wonderful! I’m so sorry for your loss. I thought I’d share a little story of her kindness- the first day of high school for me was tricky because my mother was in the hospital and my Aunt Lorraine was there (my father left early for the hospital- he was an anesthesiologist in case you don’t remember) anyway, Lorraine didn’t drive. I dutifully walked to the corner just past your house and was surprised not to see Bruce there but waited. I was there before the time on my bus card but not the 15 minutes earlier that the bus actually came! In tears I walked to your house and your Mom dropped everything-including getting Marianne and Betsy to school - maybe your Dad was still home?? She drove me to Barlow and we picked up 2 or 3 other stranded freshmen. When she got there she marched into the office - let’s just say we were not marked late for our first day! So sorry to hear of Meo's passing. She was such a wonderful person and wonderful caregiver to many children at Yarmouth Day Care, including our sons Greg and Kai Thaler. We send our condolences to the family. Karen & Jeff
