I've known John most of my life. We grew up on the same street. He was such a pleasure everytime we saw each other. Always a kind word to say. He loved his family and friends so much. He will be missed by many. I have some fun memories for sure. RIP my friend.

You were such a good friend and always so kind hearted. You always posted such nice comments on FB, especially on my orb photos or historical society posts.
We sure had some good times together chatting about our mutual love of cars, music , local history and food. I will always remember the funny nicknames you had for people and things. I miss you John . LYB

I am missing John very much! His sense of humor and ability to tease me never grew old. He would always add that he was just teasing me and loved me even though we disagreed on many things! He was always the first one to text me a Happy Birthday wish! On National Lobster Day he was sadly missed as he would have participated in that wholeheartedly. I no longer have to make him take an oath on holidays not to discuss politics, but I truly miss that too! I have many childhood memories of us and those memories make me smile. "Uncle Johnny" stories continue to make us all laugh. I am also glad he got to meet my children and grandchildren. He made a lasting impression on everyone. Love you and rest in peace, John
