I am so sorry to hear about Don’s passing. As kids we grew up together in Stafford Springs. Our parents were close friends — Don’s father Andy was one of my father’s life-long friends.

Don and I worked for a couple of summers together as teenagers at Mr. Mitchell’s home, a Gatsby era estate in Stafford with sprawling lawns and gardens. After that, I went away to college and then New York…and we lost touch.

I always knew Don as someone with a great sense of humor and intellect. He was a “bright light” in the world.

I express my deep condolences at his loss to his wife and son and family.
