Lawrence Larry Walker

Biography:

Lawrence "Larry" Walker, 78, of Auburn, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 with his family by his side. He was born in Lewiston, September 14, 1946 to Charles and Pauline Walker. 

Larry was known for his smile and good nature as he attended Nezinscot Guild, Pathways, and John F. Murphy programs throughout his life. He enjoyed bowling, workshop, church, Elvis music, and family gatherings. 

He is survived by Janet "Boo-boo" Wilkinson, guardian and cousin, Leroy Walker, brother, Beverly Walker, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Roger Walker, brother, Tracy Walker, niece, and Joseph Walker, nephew.

His family would like to extend a special thank you to staff at John F. Murphy Home- Summer St., John F. Murphy Facility- Strawberry Ave., Alternative Services of Auburn, Progress Center of Oxford, and St. Mary's Hospital Unit C3 for taking such great care of Larry and always being there for Janet and Cindy. Many thanks to the friends and family for your support and whom we shared countless memories with. 

Funeral service and committal will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 2:30pm at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Service will be officiated by Pastor Jon Case of Faith Baptist Church.
