Biography:

TOGUS-Frederick W. Van Orman of Gardiner passed away on Feb. 18, 2010 at the Togus V.A. Medical Center.

He was born on Aug. 23, 1922 in South Chasberri, VT to Frederick and Mabel Van Orman.

Frederick was a member of the American Legion, Post 132, in Richmond.

He was a family man and enjoyed spending his time with them.

Frederick worked for Lee Bros. and later Bridge Construction Co. in Windsor.

He was predeceased by his wife Barbara; his brother Chet; his sister Shirley; his nephew David; and his mother Mable.

He survived by two daughters Peggy and Carol; three nieces Betty, Carol and Shirley; two nephews Eddy and Jimmy; two sisters Barbara and Dorothy; as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Cancer Society in remembrance of Barbara Van Orman.
