Date of Birth: January 31, 1957

Biography:

Manchester- Sam Spinicci (56) passed away unexpectedly on Saturday October 5, 2013 in a house fire in Manchester Maine. He wasborn on January 31, 1957 the son of Alfred and Alice (Moore) Spinicci.

After high school Sam took pride in protecting our country by joining the Coast Guard from February 1974-1978. He then worked as a gas technician for many years at Suburban Propane; he enjoyed four wheeling, camping, working on and building computers. Most recently he opened Kennebec Taxi, and the family will continue this business in his honor. He took great pride in helping anyone that he could. Sam was the “Go to Guy” for anyone and everyone that knew him, the most common phrase we all would say when we needed something fixed or answered was “Ask Sam”. He was an avid animal lover, and was partial to his golden retrievers Zena, Snuffie, and Dusty.

Sam met his loving wife Sylvia (Maxim) Spinicci though friends, the were life partners for many years until they decided to marry on December 28,2003. For more than 20 years together Sam and Sylvia shared their love and devotion to all that knew them, they were your typical bickering couple. Thru their love and guidance to each other they enabled their blended family of 6 children, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren to unite as one big family. They had a way that once you knew them you were no longer just a friend or someone they knew you were family, and they would help out anyone whom needed it. Sam and Sylvia would go without to help someone in need. Sam was a very perceptive man, and always knew the right words to say, or gave and ear to listen, he would give advice without judgment, and was always supportive with whatever decision you made right or wrong.  A devoted man to what he believed in, he loved with his whole heart. Sam will be sadly missed, by all that knew and loved him as a Son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, or friend.
