Biography:

Michael Gerald Ruoss, 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 11, 2025, in Bowdoinham, Maine.

Born February 17, 1938, in East Lyme, Connecticut, Michael was the youngest son of the late Charles and Alice Ruoss. A proud graduate of Milford High School Class of 1957, he went on to serve his country with honor in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division.

After his military service, Michael pursued a dedicated professional path with Nassau Research Corporation from which he retired. His work ethic and perseverance were hallmarks of his career and life.

Michael is lovingly remembered by his wife of 17 years, Sharon Blanchard; and is survived by his daughters; Jude Neveux (Ben), Kelly Rooney (Timothy), and Kimberly Lucier (Joseph); and sons Michael Ruoss (Heather) and Kristian Ruoss, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Ruoss who passed away in January, of this year. 

Michael and his wife Sharon were devoted members of North Woolwich Methodist Church where he will be missed by many. May his memory bring peace and comfort to those who knew him.

Arrangements by Funeral Alternatives. At Michael's request, he will be cremated and returned to the earth on Mt. Mansfield in Underhill, VT, a place he held near and dear to his heart.
